Synopsis
Fiercely independent Etero (Eka Chavleishvili) , a 48-year-old woman living in a small village in Georgia, has never wanted a husband. She cherishes her freedom, but her choice to live alone is the cause of much gossip among her fellow villagers. Unexpectedly, her life choices are challenged when she begins a passionate affair with a local deliveryman and she is faced with having to make a decision: to pursue the relationship or continue a life of solitude.
Elene Naveriani’s latest feature is a poetically joyful film from Georgia. Set in a small village, where gossiping locals judge the independent life of Etero. Her simple, solitary existence as a shop owner is upturned by an unexpected existential and sexual awakening.
