Acclaimed author Ingrid learns her old friend Martha - a successful war correspondent - has cancer. Ingrid visits Martha in hospital and the pair reestablish their dormant friendship. As they reflect on the past and learn more about each other, a dying Martha asks her friend for one final favour - one which will severely test Martha’s emotional resolve.
